An official praised a decision by Epping Forest District Council to withhold £5000 towards funding a scheme for restaurants to provide public convenience facilities. Barry Seager, chairman of the Epping Town Partnership, remarked: “It was a very sensible decision by the council.” He also said: “If it were me I am not sure I would want up to 100 people a day using the toilet on my premises. Plus, there would be extra cost of bills and maintenance."
