Staff safety secured in proximity read smart card evacuation process

Town centre businesses in Horsham needed to be evacuated because of a fire at a nearby sub-station. The West Sussex County Council offices on North Street and the Royal Sun Alliance building were both evacuated this morning (Tuesday). Firefighters were called to the scene at 8.51am. Gill Buchanan, manager of the Horsham’s Swan Walk shopping centre, told the local newspaper: “We like many other shops and offices all around town are currently without power.”
