Prison personnel can quickly check the identity and monitor movements of visitors
Metropolitan Police Deputy Assistant Commissioner Sue Akers admitted one officer within her ranks had allegedly received £35,000 from a member of the media. DAC Akers is heading investigations into claims of corrupt payments to public officials. She said Scotland Yard had analysed stories possibly linked to payments to two senior prison officers at separate prisons. She said in her evidence to the Leveson Inquiry: “It’s our assessment that there are reasonable grounds to suspect offences have been committed.”
Time and Attendance South East can supply visitor monitoring systems to businesses and organisations. One version is Prison Pass – a low cost, easy to install, computer based pass system for registering each visitor, both on and off site. It allows HM Prison Service Officers to quickly check the identity and monitor the movements of visitors. Comprehensive reporting software is available to generate fire evacuation reports for visitors and contractors; records of the historical movements of inmate visitors; and contractor times on site.
