Benenden Hospital in Kent set to undergo £45m redevelopment

An independent hospital in Canbrook, Kent, is set to undergo a £45m redevelopment, with Hertfordshire-headquartered Willmott Dixon managing to win the bid for becoming the project’s main contractor, a news report in the local media could reveal.

As part of this project, Benenden Hospital will be upgraded with new and modern facilities. The redevelopment will see all patients staying at the hospital benefit from single bedrooms, while further modifications include creating a new main entrance with adjacent car park and drop off area, a news report in the local media could reveal.

The hospital will also be able to provide updated facilities for treatment, such as scanning and diagnostic imaging all under one roof, an expansion of the physiotherapy area, modern operating theatres and a new endoscopy unit. The refurbishment scheme is due to be completed by December 2016.
