Restaurant chain creates 135 new jobs at Gatwick airport

One of the UK’s best-known restaurant chains has opened its first airport venue at at London Gatwick’s South Terminal, creating 135 new jobs in the process, a news report in the local business media was able to reveal.

The jobs created at Nando’s airport branch range from cashiers, grillers, assistant managers to a newly created Barista role.

The restaurant, which will be the first Nando’s to serve a new breakfast option, can seat up to 220 customers.

Garry Duncan, Nando’s regional director, said: "We’re all incredibly excited to open our first ever airport restaurant, and can’t wait to finally open the doors in London Gatwick’s South Terminal.

"The team behind the new restaurant has spent months preparing for the big opening, and they can’t wait to give hungry travellers the great food and spicy treats they’ve been waiting for before they take to the skies."
