Tackling the South East’s housing crisis could create up to 8,000 new full-time jobs

Creating a comprehensive programme designed to tackle the housing crisis across the South East could lead to a £440m boost to the region’s economy as well as create more than 8,000 full-time jobs, the National Housing Federation has claimed recently. The South East needs to build 8,700 affordable homes per year to keep pace with demand, representatives for the organization said.
