Two police officers were hit by a car as they chased looters in Waltham Forest, which has resulted in an arrest being made. Officers released surveillance footage of the incident in Royston Avenue in the early hours of August 8. The pair was part of a team who were investigating looting at a clothes shop on Chingford Mount Road. Some 1,685 people have been arrested and 985 charged following the three days of rioting and looting in London.
