Contractors can make holiday requests using online clocking feature
Transport for London (TfL) said it will split extra revenue from the London 2012 Olympics 50:50 with bus operating companies, on the condition it is passed on to bus staff. TfL’s managing director for surface transport, Leon Daniels, said: “The offer of additional funds… means there is no justification for further strike action.” Buses languished at an east London bus depot during the last strike on June 22. Three companies (London General, Arriva the Shires, and Metroline) obtained a High Court injunction preventing their employees from striking.
An online feature of Time and Attendance South East’s personnel clocking networks means employees and contractors can view or change their personal information via an Internet Browser. Staff can view their absence calendar and make holiday requests or add/annotate reasons why they were absent. Supervisors logging into the self-service module can amend their subordinates’ clockings and authorise or deny any pending holiday requests. The telephone feature allows the above, using a mobile phone.
