Employees use smart card to book time against their jobs
A threat of a Tube strike over pay has emerged for the day of the royal wedding. The union Aslef said it was considering calling on its London Underground (LU) driver members to walk out on April 29, when the royal wedding is due at Westminster Abbey. LU managing director Mike Brown said: "Tube drivers already have very fair levels of pay and get around seven weeks holiday a year, including allowance for bank holidays." He said Londoners would "simply be stunned at" the demands being made by Aslef.
