Filtration business creates new jobs after relocating to a new base

A Segensworth-based filtration business has opened a new 42,000 sq ft base in New Milton, Hampshire and created 20 new jobs after securing a £3.5m investment, a recent news report in the local business media has been able to reveal.

Porvair Filtration Group revealed that their new site is part of its strategy to consolidate its industrial process business across one site. Furthermore, staff numbers at the new site are set to increase to 80 after Porvair moves its microfiltration business moves from Segensworth to the new facility this month.

General manager Mike Hughes said: "This represents a significant milestone for our business. It will increase overall capacity within the group, facilitate growth across the business and provide a platform for further expansion.

"It will strengthen our capability to meet the growing demands of our customers across a wide range of sectors including pharmaceutical, chemical and industrial processing, and food and beverage.

"This investment is a strategic step forward which will increase our capability to design and manufacture our products in line with customer expectations. I’m confident that both our staff and customers will see our investment as a commitment to our growth ambitions and exceptional customer service."
