Personnel network can record employee details for an unlimited number of people
Essex Police’s Chief Constable Jim Barker-McCardle confirmed that the county will lose 388 police officers due to cuts over the next three years. The figures had already been rumoured, but Mr Barker-McCardle gave official notice at a meeting of the force’s police authority. Behind closed doors he revealed at a presentation that in order to make £45 million of savings by 2014, the force will get rid of 388 officers, a reduction of nearly 12 per cent.
