South Downs National Park Authority gets serious funding for developing 55km of new cycle routes
The government has just granted the South Downs National Park Authority (SDNPA) more than £3.8m in cycle infrastructure funding, supported by a further £1.3m local contribution.
According to a new media report, the funds will be used in order to develop 55km of new cycle routes into and around the park, which spans East Sussex, West Sussex and Hampshire.
Trevor Beattie, chief executive of the South Downs National Park Authority, described the award as a "great success" for the park.
He added: "The national park authority has many plans to create new and safer routes, both for commuters and for people cycling for pleasure. Now we have the money to put those plans into practice. We will be working closely with the local highways authorities and other organisations to take full advantage of this major new funding."
Quite obviously, the South Downs National Park Authority will have to seek quite a few contractors for the construction works, given their extensive size, and that’s exactly where Time & Attendance South East can help.
Our systems are user-friendly, innovative and designed for the working environment. They also offer a wide array of features, such as support for contactless smart cards (which would really come in handy in a busy, dusty construction environment), as well as optional finger print biometrics and mobile phone SIM card support.
Moreover, the multi-user, networked, multi site Time and Attendance, Access Control, Fire Roll Call and security system includes European Working Time Directive checking and reporting and allows administrators to save up to 2000 employees, supports extensive shift management and payroll-related operations, the allocation of various pay bands, and much more.
